Description
This beautiful Cane coffin is handcrafted using woven cane, which is the core of rattan with the bark stripped away. As a result of using traditional basket-making techniques, they hold an off-white appearance, skilfully finished by hand. The rattan used for our cane coffins is harvested from the forests of South East Asia and much like a vine, the rattan clings and grows to existing forest trees. Furthermore, rattan grows as much as six meters in a year making it an impressive renewable material.
The Cane coffin is available in two differing shapes: curved end (rounded) and traditional shape (square), each tapering from end to end.
Both styles come in a range of finished sizes, from 5’8” to 6’6”. They include natural rope handles, fully fitted with natural linings, pillow and covers.
In addition, we include a wooden base plate over the lid with a printed inscription showing the name, date and age at no extra cost.
These natural coffins look beautiful with the addition of a flower arrangement on the lid. We do not include the arrangement shown in the pictures in the standard product. Also, we can attach garland or individual posies on the sides. These decorations will incur extra costs. Please call us or contact us for pricing, if you have any questions or require assistance.
Prices shown include VAT and delivery costs to UK Mainland.
